  • We never sell your personal information or share it for advertising.
  • Florida law requires us to record your ID when you sell to us and to share transaction records with law enforcement.
  • We erase every device in front of you and never look through what’s on it.
  • We won’t send you marketing texts or emails unless you ask for them.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

When you sell us a device

Florida’s secondhand dealer law (Chapter 538, Florida Statutes) requires us to record certain details for every purchase. When you sell to us, we collect:

  • Your full name, address, date of birth and physical description
  • Details from your government-issued photo ID, such as the ID type, number and issuing state
  • Your thumbprint and signature, where the law requires them
  • Details of the device: make, model, serial number, IMEI, condition and the price we paid
  • The date and time of the sale

When you contact us

When you call, text, email or use our contact form, we collect what you give us: usually your name, phone number, email address, device details and your message.

When you use our website

We automatically receive some technical information, including your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, and the website that sent you here. Our instant quote tool runs in your browser. We don’t store the choices you make in it.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Complete your sale and pay you
  • Follow Florida secondhand dealer law and prevent the sale of stolen property
  • Answer your calls, texts, emails and messages
  • Run, secure and improve our website
  • Protect our legal rights and prevent fraud

We don’t use your information for automated decisions about you, and we don’t create advertising profiles.

4. Data on devices you sell us

You’re responsible for backing up your device and signing out of your Apple Account (or other accounts) before you sell it. At the counter, we check only what we need to price the device: battery health, hardware function, activation lock, carrier lock and the IMEI blacklist.

After the sale, we erase the device in front of you using Apple’s “Erase All Content and Settings” or the equivalent method for other brands. We don’t open, copy, view or keep your photos, messages, files or other personal content. If personal data turns out to still be on a device, we erase it without looking at it. We can’t recover data after a device has been erased.

5. When we share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with advertisers. We share it only in these situations:

  • Law enforcement: Florida law requires us to report secondhand transactions to local law enforcement. We also respond to valid subpoenas, warrants and court orders.
  • Service providers: companies that help us run the business, such as our website host, email and phone providers, and analytics tools. They may use your information only to provide their service to us.
  • Buyers of the business: if our business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the new owner under the same protections.
  • To protect people and property: when we believe sharing is needed to prevent fraud, theft or harm.

We never pass on any information about a device’s previous owner to the person who buys it next.

6. Cookies and analytics

Our website uses a small number of cookies and third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: to count visits and see which pages are useful
  • Google Maps: to show our location and give directions

If you sign up for text updates, reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. We don’t share your mobile number or text-message consent with third parties for their marketing.

8. How long we keep your information

  • Sale records (including ID details): as long as Florida law requires, currently at least three years from the date of the sale, then securely destroyed
  • Messages and contact form submissions: up to 24 months, unless they relate to a sale
  • Website analytics: up to 14 months

9. How we protect your information

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. These include limiting access to staff who need it, keeping paper records in a locked area, using password-protected systems, and encrypting our website with HTTPS. No system is completely secure. If a data breach affects your personal information, we’ll notify you and the proper authorities as required by the Florida Information Protection Act (section 501.171, Florida Statutes).

10. Your choices

You can contact us at any time to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that’s wrong
  • Ask us to delete your information, except records we’re legally required to keep
  • Unsubscribe from any messages you signed up for

We’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

11. Children

You must be at least 18 to sell a device to us. Our website isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make a significant change, we’ll post a notice on our website.
